HAIR REMOVAL - TREATMENT & AFTERCARE
Initially we will provide a consultation to explain the treatment in detail and assess your suitability. We will cover a complete medical questionnaire and provide you with all the information you need to proceed with treatment, including costing and pre / post treatment advice.
We would then perform a patch test to ensure no adverse reactions. For the best results, we recommend approximately 6 sessions over an 8 weeks period. - You need to shave 24 hours before laser treatments. The skin should be hair free otherwise laser hair removal will not work. The laser needs to destroy the hair follicle beneath the skin, so any hair above the skin will effectively stop this from happening. We ask you to NOT TO shave for your consultation so we can examine your hair and skin carefully. Otherwise please come fully shaved for your treatments.
- Patients are also advised to avoid tanning and applying fake tan prior to treatment. SPF50 should be used prior to and throughout your treatment.

- Redness should subside within 24-48 hours post treatment depending on skin type
- Avoid swimming for 24hrs
- Avoid overly hot showers and baths for 24 hours
- Avoid abrasive creams or topical ointments or heavy perfumes
- Avoid harsh sun exposure/sunbeds
- Avoid sauna and steam rooms or 24 hours
- Regularly cleanse the skin with warm water, a gentle cleanser or a light oil-free moisturiser
